Teaching Strategies GOLD Refresher Training (Newport)

Location: Newport Area, TBD

Refresher trainings are appropriate for veteran users of Teaching Strategies GOLD in need of guidance. In this class, you will navigate what is new, what is similar, and what has changed with the MyTeachingStrategies™ platform. Bring your questions on documentation, checkpoints, reports, and/or on any other GOLD area. Participants are expected to attend the one-day training from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Please note: The minimum number of participants for trainings is 15 and the maximum is 20. CACFP New Manager's Training

This training is a great opportunity for new directors, managers, cooks or any other CACFP staff to receive in depth training regarding CACFP. Participants will learn about recordkeeping, determining income eligibility, expense logs, claims submission, sponsorship responsibilities, menu planning, meal production records, portion size, meal service, basic kitchen, and food safety requirements. It is also a great refresher course for anyone who has participated in the program for many years. Pyramid Model Training of Trainers: Modules 1-3 with Johanna Wasser

Location: Trader Duke’s Hotel, South Burlington, VT

Audience: Individuals who have current or recent experience in the early childhood field-training adults and knowledge of adult learning principles, coaching/mentoring, providing technical assistance and/or supervision.

Pyramid Model Practices support young children’s social and emotional skills and competence The Pyramid Model for Supporting Social Emotional Competence in Infants and Young Children to help early educators build skills for supporting nurturing and responsive caregiving, create learning environments, provide targeted social-emotional skills, and support children with challenging behavior.
