Find information regarding the ARRA as it relates to Vermont, including Governor Douglas' plans for using these resources to strengthen Vermont's transportation and technological infrastructure; to invest in renewable energy and efficiency programs; and to grow our economy and put Vermonters back to work. Other non-education state agencies will be administering stimulus funds that schools may be eligible to receive, and may post that information here.
   
 

U.S. Dept of Agriculture (USDA)

  • Facility Improvement Grants
    The USDA oversees the Community Facilities Grants program in the Office of Rural Development. Public schools are eligible for these facility improvement grants. U.S. Department of Energy
The U.S. Department of Energy stimulus funds will be administered through the Vermont Department of Public Service. Schools will be able to apply for stimulus funds for weatherization and energy efficiency. Block grants will be available in the May/June timeframe. The Department of Public Service is still working out details. Further information will be available on the State of Vermont Recovery Web Site.

Vermont Department of Labor (VDOL)

  • Summer Youth Employment ProgramClicking this link will open a new browser window and take you off the department's Web site.
    The VDOL announces a request for proposals (RFP) under the ARRA Summer Youth Employment Program to interested applicants, including school districts.
