Renew Your License

2017 Educator License Renewals 

Please be sure to login and enter your current employer and current e-mail address in your profile; and add VT-AOE-Message@vermont.gov to your list of trusted contacts as all notification regarding your application will be sent from this address.

Educators employed in a Vermont school will renew through their Local/Regional Standards Board.  Register and update the employment section, and email address in your profile  on the Vermont Online Licensing System for Educators

License Level I

Level I endorsements are required to have three credits (or 45 hours) of new professional learning per endorsement. At least one credit (or 15 hours) of new learning must apply directly to the knowledge and performance standards of the endorsement to be renewed.

The remaining two credits need to fall within the Core Teaching and Leadership Standards for Vermont Educators.

License Level II

Level II endorsements are required to have nine credits (or 135 hours) of new professional learning per endorsement. At least three credits (or 45 hours) of new learning must apply directly to the knowledge and performance standards of the endorsement to be renewed.

The remaining six credits need to fall within the Core Teaching and Leadership Standards for Vermont Educators.
