Continuous Improvement Planning Informational Session

Are you ready for Continuous Improvement Planning?

How do you know? If not, how can you get ready?

The Agency of Education’s Education Quality Assurance Team invites you to attend an information session focused on the Continuous Improvement Planning process. In this session, you will learn about the purpose and content of the Education Quality and Continuous Improvement Framework as well as the steps and expectations of the Continuous Improvement Process, including:

  • Establishing a Culture for Improvement
  • Conducting a Comprehensive Needs Assessment
  • An Improvement Science Approach to Continuous Improvement

 During this series of three workshops, participants will be introduced to the NGSS bundles of performance expectations, develop performance assessments within an instructional sequence, apply quality criteria to their performance assessment, and construct a proficiency-based single-point rubric. Our goals are to increase understanding of the expectations within NGSS and support collaboration among science teacher leaders/coaches from across the state. This series is limited to 25 participants who commit to attending all three sessions.

The VSBPE is undertaking revisions to the rules that govern the training, licensing and professional standards of teachers and administrators, Series 5100: Rules Governing the Licensing of Educators and the Preparation of Educational Professionals. Specifically, the VSBPE is revising educator competencies and authorizing statement of the following endorsements: 5440-05 English;5440-13 Science; 5440-19 Middle Grades English Language Arts, Middle Grades Science, Middle Grades Social Studies; 5440-61 Library Media Specialist.

It is recommended by the Vermont Agency of Education and is widely used nationally.
