The New England Secondary School Consortium's third annual
conference for high school educators to share success stories,
exchange best practices, and build momentum for secondary school
improvement that is focused on preparing all students for success
in the colleges, careers, and communities of the 21st century.
The Vermont Agency of Education is committed to graduating every
student prepared for success in the colleges, careers, and
communities of the 21st century. To accomplish the state's
ambitious goals, the agency is working to build support for new
ways of teaching and learning among educators, policy makers,
parents, and community leaders across the state. This report,
which presents research on several innovative policies and
practices currently being employed in Vermont schools, is a first
step toward shifting public perceptions about education, public
schools, and the learning needs of today's students.
