SCHOOL DATA & REPORTS:
SCHOOL & DISTRICTS REPORTS:
STATE REPORT CARD
(Updated 5/10/11)

Under the NCLB Act, States and school districts (LEAs) are required, not later than the beginning of the 2002-2003 school year, to prepare and disseminate annual report cards. Requirements for the data elements to be reported are set forth under section 111(h) of the law. Although schools are not required to prepare and disseminate their own reports, information about whether a school has been identified for improvement and how a school’s students are achieving must be included in the state and school district reports.
