Vermont Higher Education Collaborative (VTHEC) OSL
The VTHEC was formed in 2000 as part of Act 117. It is the joint work of the Vermont Department of Education, the Vermont State Colleges and the University of Vermont. The VT-HEC, along with Vermont school districts and other education related organizations, are working together in new ways to make quality preparation, development and support programs accessible to educators and educators-to-be in all parts of the state. The VT HEC has a goal of creating a network of quality graduate programs that may lead to certificates, endorsements and/or degrees in areas of high need using a variety of delivery models. In addition, the VTHEC is also committed to creating mentoring and induction programs with its partners to ensure a highly effective workforce in education and human service organizations.
