THE FUTURE OF EDUCATION IN VERMONT
|
| |
|
The Vermont State Board of Education has embarked on a public engagement process regarding the future of education in Vermont. This process was kicked off by the release of The Future of Education in Vermont, a transformation document recently adopted by the State Board of Education.
Much of the time on the next few State Board monthly meeting agendas will be dedicated to conversations between State Board members and representatives of various constituent groups, including students, parents, teachers, principals, superintendents, school board members, legislators and other political leaders, representatives of the business community and other constituent groups. In addition, plans are underway for the Commissioner to hold regional conversations.

The Vision document is the starting point for several public conversations which began with the October 16 State Board meeting, at which students and parents participated in roundtable discussions on the future of education.
