  The State Office Building at 120 State Street, Montpelier, which houses the main offices of the Vermont Agency of Education, is open to the public from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

LOCATION
   
  The Agency of Education is currently housed in two locations: Montpelier and in Berlin on U.S. Route 302.

The main office of the Vermont Agency of Education is located in the State Office Building at 120 State Street in Montpelier, Vermont. The State Office Building is open to the public from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The building (which also houses the Department of Motor Vehicles) is directly opposite the Vermont State House. The building is handicapped accessible from the west entrance.

Agency office spaces are located on the 4th and 5th floors and include the following divisions:

    • Research, Standards & Assessment
      Student Assessment Data Analysis & Reporting, Curriculum & Standards, Accountability


    • Integrated Support for Learning – PreK-Middle
      Early Education, Elementary/Middle School Effectiveness, Multi-tiered System of Support, Special Education Program Support, School Health & Wellness

    • Integrated Support for Learning – High School & Adult
      High School Effectiveness, Career & Technical Education, Adult Education

    • General Supervision & Monitoring
      Nutrition Programs, Special Education Compliance & Monitoring, Homestudy and Independent Schools, Federal Programs, Professional Learning, Interagency Coordination

The Berlin (Route 302) offices are housed in the large building located between Burger King and the Steak House on the Barre-Montpelier Road. This building also houses the Vermont Lottery Commission.

The Berlin (Route 302) office hosts the following divisions:

  • Educator Quality
    Educator Licensing, Professional Standards, Vermont Standards Board for Professional Educators (VSBPE)


  • Finance and Administration
    Business Office, Education Finance, Special Education Finance, School Construction and Post-Secondary Program Approval, Information Technology

The front entrance to agency spaces is located slightly left of center at the front of the building and is distinguished by a double door. There is a sign above the door. The building is handicapped accessible from the front entrance.
