IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL GED TEST EXAMINEES

This notice is to let you know that a new series of GED Tests will be implemented in January of 2014. This means, you will need to earn your GED certificate by December 31, 2013. If you do not complete by December 31, 2013, any test you have successfully passed will be invalidated and you will have to start testing again with the new series of GED Tests in 2014. If you need additional information, please contact the GED staff in your local adult education center or visit http://gedtestingservice.com/finishtheged/

   
All GED records are accessed through the Agency of Education GED Office, which is open Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All original and duplicate certificates of completion and official transcripts of test results are issued from this office. Records go back to 1942 and include every person who has successfully completed the GED.
   
RECORDS AND TRANSCRIPTS
   
  Original Certificates and Transcripts
A certificate of completion and a transcript (which includes individual test scores) are issued at no charge when the battery of GED tests have been completed and passed.

Subsequent Requests for Transcripts
When a certificate or transcript is lost or is required for proof of completion by an employer, school, etc., additional or replacement copies will be issued for a $3.00 fee per copy. To request an additional or replacement copy:

Download, print and complete a copy of the Request for Transcript
Download and print a copy of the Request for Transcript form using the links below, complete all portions, sign and date the form.

 

   

2.

  Enclose a MONEY ORDER (NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED) for $3.00 (for each transcript requested) made out to:
     
   
"Treasurer, State of Vermont"
     

3.

  Mail your request to:

  Please allow two weeks for receipt of transcript.
