RIVERDEEP LEARNING VILLAGE:
TRAINING & SUPPORT MATERIALS
(Added 11/30/11)

The Vermont Department of Education is transitioning from Riverdeep Learning Village to a Vermont Education Exchange which uses a site content tool from Intrafinity. It is anticipated that the transition will be complete in May 2011. While this transition occurs, Riverdeep Learning Village will still remain active and available to facilitate online collaboration and sharing of instructional resources.

OVERVIEW
""

Riverdeep Learning Village is an online environment that provides educators with access to tools for the creation and dissemination of instructional materials and assessments that connect to state standards. Learning Village is intended to facilitate online collaboration and sharing of instructional resources by all the members of an educational learning community. Staff from Riverdeep Learning Village and the department has configured Learning Village so that the templates used in the Instructional Organizer correlate to professional development conducted and best practices promoted across all content areas in our state. The Instructional Organizer includes: Unit Plans, Lesson Plans, Assessment Activities, Instructional Resources, Vermont’s Framework of Standards and Learning Opportunities, and Vermont's Grade Expectations.
