Reading to Learn: A Classroom Guide to Reading Strategy Instruction
This 140-page guide is designed for teachers who want to help students, grades 4-12, use specific reading strategies when they confront difficult text. Published by the Vermont Strategic Reading Initiative, a program of the Vermont Agency of Education and the Vermont Institutes, Reading to Learn reflects the work of more than forty Vermont teachers, with specific classroom tools for encouraging the use of nine reading/thinking "habits of mind.”
