Microsoft Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES) Agreement Details
The two documents attached here provide details on the EES agreement that Microsoft recently signed with the State of Vermont. It is a 3 year agreement, and provides competitive pricing for schools wishing to purchase Microsoft products. The Agency of Education provides this as a service to schools and wishes to make clear to schools that this is an OPT-IN opportunity. To best serve your schools and districts, review the materials carefully to determine if they meet a current need.

Transformation and Technology: A New Way of Learning (Classroom Scenarios)OSL
These classroom scenarios were created in the fall of 2009 by a group of educators coordinated through a Title II grant. Divided into sections based on grade clusters and NETS-S 2007 standards (National Education Technology Standards) for technology and learning, they provide example "scenarios" of what one might see in classroom as each of the standard areas are addresses. Scenarios include the use of Web 2.0 tools, best practice teaching methods and innovative uses of technology in all grade level classrooms. School leaders should use this resources to gain knowledge on what is possible, teachers should use this resource to help design meaningful lesson practices that integrate technology. NOTE: The scenarios may also be downloaded in PDF format using the following link:

Information Technology Grade Expectations (2010) OSL
Use this link to view the recently completed update to the Technology Grade Expectations. A grade expectation (GE) is a stated objective that relates directly to a Vermont standard and associated evidences. A GE differentiates performance on content knowledge or skills between adjacent grade levels and describe clearly what students will do to show that they understand a designated concept. As a set, GEs should lead to focused, coherent, and developmentally appropriate instruction without narrowing the curriculum and can be used for local curriculum and assessment development. |
