This PowerPoint presentation provides information on the McKinney-Vento law, including homeless awareness, identifying and enrolling homeless students, and resources in Vermont. This presentation can be used as a self tutorial for homeless education liaisons and for training school/community personnel to identify and refer homeless students to the liaison. The purpose of this tool is to meet federal monitoring requirements for services to homeless children and youth. The tool has also been developed as a self assessment guide that includes the primary responsibilities of a homeless education liaison.
