Results Oriented Program Approval (ROPA) Process

INTRODUCTION
   
 

ROPA Cover for 2007Vermont's ROPA process is a performance based approach to the review of educator preparation programs offered by state institutions of higher education. The Vermont Standards Board for Professional Educators (VSBPE) oversees the ROPA approval process and determines approval status. Full approval is for six years.

Rubrics to evaluate the institution and program(s) are provided for each standard. These rubrics will be used by the Review Team and can be used by the institution in its internal review or self study.

Rubrics for the Level I Licensure Portfolio
All programs are required to use the scoring rubrics provided for each entry when assessing their candidates' portfolios.
