State Report Card

Under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, states and school districts are required to prepare and disseminate report cards. Requirements for the data elements to be reported are set forth under section 1111(h) of the law. Vermont’s state report card data is published across the following dashboards.

The Annual Snapshot

The Annual Snapshot is part of Vermont's state plan under the Every Student Succeeds Act. The Vermont Annual Snapshot is a quantitative look at school quality, measuring performance for schools, supervisory unions and school districts and the state as a whole. Released in the winter, the Snapshot measures a range of indicators including, academic proficiency, high quality staffing, personalization, safe, healthy schools and investment priorities and meets the majority of Vermont’s state report card reporting requirements.

Vermont Education Dashboard

The Vermont Education Dashboard is part of Vermont’s state report card reporting requirements under the Every Student Succeeds Act. During each fiscal year, the Agency of Education collects data from Vermont's supervisory unions and school districts about students, staff, enrollment and assessments. The data collected help inform us, schools, educators and taxpayers about the functionality and success of Vermont's education system.
