Sexting Prevention for Middle/High Schoolers - Prevent Child Abuse Vermont
Is sexting becoming an emergent concern in your school? Prevent Child Abuse Vermont, funded by Canaday Family Charitable Trust, developed Project SELFIE (Safe Expression onLine For Internet Empowerment). Students receive two virtual presentations to prevent sexting. Adults (faculty/staff/parents) receive a virtual training session on online grooming, sexting, online pornography and prevention tips. A pilot study showed students had knowledge and skills to avoid sexting after the program and adults understood the protective factors and knew how to implement them.
