Housing Deficit Data Presentation

Audience: Superintendents, Principals, School Leadership, Administrators, Supervisory Union Employees
This Friday, December 15 at 12:00 p.m. the Vermont Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) will hold a virtual presentation on recent data showing county-level housing deficits and the number of units needed to restore healthy housing markets around the state. The presentation will also cover recent data compiled by the Department of Labor about demographic and population changes in the state. The live event can be accessed through this Microsoft Teams link.

Educational Equity Professional Learning Providers List Update 

Audience: Professional Development Providers 
The Vermont Agency of Education is collecting information on individuals and organizations who can provide Vermont educators with professional learning in areas related to educational equity, diversity, justice, and belonging, to update its current list. Those currently on the Educational Equity and Diversity Professional Development Providers List need to reapply as the criteria have changed. The AOE will evaluate the submissions and create the 2023 Education Equity Professional Learning Providers List which is available to the state’s educators as a resource when planning professional learning. Please submit your information using this form. Submissions will be accepted until December 22, 2023.

Arts Proficiency-Based Graduation Requirements Workshop 

Audience: K-12 Arts Educators (Dance, Theatre, Visual, and Music), Curriculum Directors, Arts Coaches
Join Arts Specialist, Lisa Bresler, on Wednesday, January 17, 2023, for a hands-on workshop exploring the new Proficiency-Based Graduation Requirements (PBGR) developed in 2023. Provide feedback on the creation of proficiency scales designed to complement these requirements. Spend the day utilizing your school's progress for collaborative learning. This interactive session aims to enhance understanding and application of the PBGR in the Arts.
