This workshop will include an overview of what parents and grandparents need to know about special needs planning, including: the protection of important government benefits (SSI, Medicaid); special needs trusts; how to avoid a “payback” to the state for Medicaid; ABLE accounts; guardianships; and providing guidance to future caregivers. Professionals who support families during the critical time of transitioning from high school may also find this information helpful. Presenter: Claudia I. Pringles, a Vermont attorney whose practice includes Special Needs Planning and Estate Planning. Register to listen to this webinar on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, from noon – 1 p.m.
