Child Count

The IDEA Child Count Collection in Vermont gathers data on children with disabilities receiving special education services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This collection is crucial for monitoring compliance, planning services, and ensuring that educational resources are effectively allocated to support the needs of these students.

Collection opens November 25, 2024 through end of day December 16, 2024

MTSS Data Collection and Survey

The MTSS Survey annually provides the Agency of Education with the data to fulfill the following data collection. This survey becomes available in May each year, with a due date of June 1st or the next business day. 

Act 117 - VSA Title 16, Section 2904, requires that each superintendent shall annually provide to the Vermont Secretary of Education a status of the educational support systems in each school in the supervisory union; how it is funded and how building the capacity of the educational support system is addressed in the School's Continuous Improvement Plan. Included in the report will be a description and justification of how funds received due to Medicaid reimbursement under section 2959a are used.

Preliminary Budget

Preliminary budget data are used for: 1) creating the sheets for town meetings that estimate individual education property taxes paid after accounting for tax adjustments (income sensitivity); 2) as edit checks for the June 1st approved budget collection; and 3) to estimate the Education Fund reserve for future years.

Annual Statistical Report

The Annual Statistical Report (Statbook) enables school districts to comply with Title 16 V.S.A. § 242(4)(B)&(C). The collection provides data on expenditures made and revenues received by school districts.
