New Personalized Learning Plans Manual: A Framework for Implementation

Audience: Vermont Educators and Administrators, Parents, Students

The AOE has posted the new Personalized Learning Plans Manual: A Framework for Implementation, which contains updated information around PLPs and the crucial role they play in college and career planning, PLP and curriculum integration, and PLPs across the grade span. Each section is aligned to relevant rules in the new Series 2000 – Education Quality Standards (effective July 1, 2025).

Ready for Kindergarten SY2024-2025 Report

Audience: Superintendents, Principals, Kindergarten Teachers

The SY2024-2025 Ready for Kindergarten Survey Report (R4K!S) is now available. The report contains statewide and supervisory union/supervisory district (SU/SD) level data. The Ready for Kindergarten Survey is an annual readiness assessment of children entering kindergarten. The R4K!S report includes aggregate readiness data in the areas of social and emotional development, communication, and physical health, as well as cognitive development, knowledge, and approaches to learning.

Emergency Operations Plan Office Hours

Audience: School Administrators and Staff involved with School Safety

The Vermont School Safety Center hosts a monthly Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) Office Hour on the third Thursday of each month from 12-1 p.m. The next session will be on April 17, and will cover a shelter-in-place annex. Meetings will include opportunities for school safety partners to obtain guidance in developing and maintaining EOPs, development of priority all-hazards annexes, presentations from school safety experts, and more. Behavioral Threat Assessment Office Hours

Audience: Current or prospective BTA team members

Behavioral Threat Assessment (BTA) Team Office Hours are available on Tuesdays from 12-2 p.m. and Thursdays from 2-4 p.m. These sessions offer questions and guidance from the BTA Consultants about the BTA policies and procedures, process tools, best practices, or readiness activities to prepare a BTA Team, including prospective team members. 2024-2025 Family Engagement Networking Series   

Audience: Family Engagement Coordinators and Liaisons, School and District Administrators, Community Organization Personnel, School Counselors    

Please join the 2024-2025 Family Engagement Networking Series: Family Engagement as a Strategy for Improving Belonging and Well-Being. The upcoming session is called Supporting Families and Students During Transitions, and will be held on April 10, 2025 from 1-2 p.m. In this session we will discuss strategies to support and engage families as students change grades, or schools, as well as share summer opportunities. These are informal monthly virtual sessions facilitated by the AOE Vermont Multi-Tiered System of Supports (VTmtss) Team, for family engagement colleagues to connect, hear updates, and share strategies regarding family engagement.

Become an Adult Diploma Program Participating High School

Audience: Superintendents, High School Principals

Join other Vermont high schools in providing Adult Education and Literacy students with access to a diploma by becoming an Adult Diploma Program (ADP) participating high school. Superintendents and high school principals can sign up their high school by completing a participation agreement. Please review this memo for more information. The policy manual and other documents related to implementation of the ADP can be found on the AOE website
