Funding Opportunity
The Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014 requires that states solicit applicants to compete for Adult Education and Literacy funds (AEL). Below are the documents related to the 2023 competition for the July 1, 2023-June 30, 2025 grant period.
Timeline
- Funding Opportunity and Grant Application Released – February 15, 2023
- Applicant Workshops (optional) – February 22, 2023 and March 10, 2023
- Proposal Due Date – April 7, 2023 (4:30 p.m.)
- Awards Announced – May 15, 2023
- Grant Period Begins – July 1, 2023
Applicant Workshops
Applicant workshops will be held virtually on February 22, 2023 (2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.) and March 10, 2023 (10:30 a.m. – noon). Attending a workshop is not a requirement.
Please RSVP by emailing Miranda Scott at Miranda.Scott@vermont.gov. You will be sent a link to the virtual Microsoft Teams meeting for your chosen workshop.
