Are you ready for Continuous Improvement Planning?

How do you know? If not, how can you get ready?

The Agency of Education’s Education Quality Assurance Team invites you to attend an information session focused on the Continuous Improvement Planning process. In this session, you will learn about the purpose and content of the Education Quality and Continuous Improvement Framework as well as the steps and expectations of the Continuous Improvement Process, including:

• Establishing a Culture for Improvement
• Conducting a Comprehensive Needs Assessment
• An Improvement Science Approach to Continuous Improvement

The Education Quality and Continuous Improvement Framework is a source of support for helping Vermont educators and administrators apply high-leverage practices to strengthen systems and improve student achievement and well-being.  Please become familiar with this document in advance of attending one of the above sessions, as it contains descriptions of the crucial elements of continuous improvement planning in Vermont schools, as well as a number of helpful resources: Education Quality Continuous Improvement Planning Framework.

The VSBPE is undertaking revisions to the rules that govern the training, licensing and professional standards of teachers and administrators, Series 5100: Rules Governing the Licensing of Educators and the Preparation of Educational Professionals. Specifically, the VSBPE is revising educator competencies and authorizing statement of the following endorsements: 5440-05 English;5440-13 Science; 5440-19 Middle Grades English Language Arts, Middle Grades Science, Middle Grades Social Studies; 5440-61 Library Media Specialist.
