Connecting Cognia and Local Common Assessment Systems, on August 8, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., will make connections between state assessment results and student performance within a local common assessment system. Participants will examine how Cognia items may differ in language, format and approach from local instructional materials and assessment tools. Educators can consider developing instructional and formative assessment strategies that reflect the types of Common Core-aligned items students experience on the state assessment, giving students a better opportunity to show what they know, understand, and can do.
