Act 173 Advisory Group

The Vermont General Assembly established the Census-Based Funding Advisory Group in Act 173 of 2018. The purpose of the act is to enhance the effectiveness, availability and equity of services to students who need additional support. The act changes the way special education funding is administered to a census-based funding model.

Coaching NIC (Newport – April 2019)

Title: Networked Improvement Community for Instructional Coaches and Teacher-Leaders

Location: North Country Career Center, 209 Veterans Ave., Newport, VT

Audience: Instructional Coaches and Teacher-Leaders (such as math, literacy, PBL, science, etc.)

The goal of this community is to support coaches and teacher leaders. Networked Improvement Community (NICs) are communities grounded by shared goals, norms, theories and practices. They coordinate and accelerate learning through strategic knowledge management. Participating in this NIC will support continuous improvement planning and will facilitate meeting the required CFP evidence of impact. The community will meet three times throughout the year. Our community meetings will be led by Heidi Whipple, Susan Yesalonia, and MC Moran. Register for Networked Improvement Community Meetings.
