Description: This session will take a deeper dive into the McKinney-Vento definition of homelessness, the role of liaisons in making determinations, and strategies for identifying students experiencing homelessness and making eligibility determinations. We will also review the dispute resolution process, the rights of students experiencing homelessness during a dispute, LEA requirements, and best practices.

We will also review the role and duties of the homeless liaison, data reporting requirements under McKinney-Vento, and funding to support students experiencing homelessness.
