Vermont Kindergarten Conference - Wonder and Joy: Sparking Playful Pathways to Learning

Description: Registration for the 2025 Vermont Kindergarten Conference is now open! Please register early to get the best selection of workshops. The Planning Committee is excited to provide attendees with various workshop options ranging from discovering who is out and about in the winter to strategies for enhancing foundational reading skills. Christine Hertz Housman, the keynote speaker, will highlight how teachers can foster emergent literacy skills and empower children with tools to express their unique voices. The conference will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the DoubleTree in South Burlington. For more information, please see this flyer.

Proficiency-Based Graduation Requirements (PBGR) Access Plan Training

Event Date: February 11, 2025, from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Audience: All VT High School Special Educators and Special Education Directors

Purpose: This training will cover how high schools who are using PBGRs to determine graduation can make the requirements accessible for students with intensive needs. This is the system that replaces the multi-year plan.

Education Quality Team Office Hour/Training Sessions

To provide leadership, oversight, and technical support the EQA Division will be hosting an Office Hours Series for schools eligible for Comprehensive and Equity Supports.  Office hours will be once a month from 9 am – 10 am on January 22, Feb 5, Mar 19, April 16, May 14, and June 11.

Audience: Schools Eligible for Comprehensive and Equity Supports, but open to All Schools
