2021 Paraprofessional Session 1 - Social Skills for All Students: Proactive Strategies for Increasing Positive Behavior

This session will explore a variety of strategies, tools, and resources for promoting positive behavior. Paraprofessionals will gain increased knowledge in the powerful connection between behavior and communication. Participants will interact with presenters to learn strategies, tools, and resources for teaching social skills and will gain understanding of promoting generalization of skills across settings.

Audience: Administrators, Educators, Special Educators, Coaches, Interventionists, School and State Library and Media Specialists 

Designed for classroom teachers outside of English Language Arts, this session explores the Lexile Framework and how its measures can impact the teaching and learning of subject matter content across the curriculum and within each discipline. A Hands-on Tour of the Lexile & Quantile Hub (Virtual Training)

Audience: Administrators, Educators, Special Educators, Coaches, Interventionists, School and State Library and Media Specialists 

The Agency of Education and MetaMetrics are pleased to offer this professional learning opportunity to build the understanding of the Lexile and Quantile Hub among educators across Vermont. This presentation offers both a quick "tour" and some "hands on time" to explore the new Lexile & Quantile Hub, a "one stop shop" for Lexile and Quantile tools for students, parents, and educators. Empowered Paraprofessionals: School Year Sessions - Session 1 will be held on Oct. 27, 2020, from 1 p.m. -3 p.m. Many of the students we are supporting are connecting with their school virtually. This session will help paraprofessionals understand the virtual strategies and teach paraprofessionals how to help their students in the virtual learning environment.
